اصلاح نوری کامپوزیت نشاسته-اسید اولئیک به عنوان فیلم زیست‌تخریب‌پذیر در بسته‌بندی مواد غذایی

چکیده

نشاسته به علت طبیعی بودن، دسترسی آسان و قیمت ارزان می‌تواند گزینه‌ مناسبی برای جایگزین شدن پلیمرهای مصنوعی و سنتتیک باشد. به علت نفوذپذیری بالای نشاسته نسبت به بخارآب و استحکام ضعیف آن، فیلم نشاسته خالص به‌تنهایی کارایی مطلوبی ندارد. ترکیب نشاسته با اسیدهای چرب و ایجاد اتصالات عرضی با استفاده از فرآیند پرتودهی، می‌توانند روش‌های خوبی برای کاهش خاصیت آب‌دوستی و نفوذپذیری نشاسته نسبت به بخارآب باشند. در این پژوهش، خصوصیات فیزیکی و شیمیایی کامپوزیت نشاسته-اسید اولئیک با استفاده از پرتو فرابنفش اصلاح شد، به‌این‌ترتیب فیلم امولسیونی نشاسته-اسید اولئیک به روش قالب‌گیری به‌صورت محلول تهیه و خصوصیات کاربردی آن در بسته‌بندی مواد غذایی مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. بررسی‌ها نشان دادند که با افزودن اسید اولئیک به فیلم نشاسته، زاویه تماس افزایش و نفوذپذیری نسبت به بخارآب و جذب رطوبت کاهش یافته است، ولی پرتودهی توسط UV-C و افزایش زمان آن، در مقایسه با کامپوزیت نشاسته-اسید اولئیک، تأثیری معنی‌دار بر خصوصیات کاربردی آن در بسته‌بندی نداشته است. از طرفی، با افزودن اسید اولئیک اگرچه آب‌گریزی فیلم نشاسته به‌طور چشمگیری افزایش یافته است ولی مقاومت کششی، الاستیسیته و انرژی کششی تا لحظه پاره شدن، کاهش و در مقابل کشش‌پذیری افزایش یافته است. به طور کلی نتیجه‌گیری می‌شود، استفاده از اسید اولئیک و عدم استفاده از پرتو فرابنفش در بهبود خواص مکانیکی و شیمیایی فیلم نشاسته،  بهترین روش اصلاحی در این پژوهش بوده است.

Photochemical Modification of Starch-Oleic Acid Composite as a Biodegradable Film in Food Packaging

چکیده [English]

Starch is a bio-based, easy access and low price biopolymer which can be a good option to substitution of the synthetic polymers. But, the high water vapor permeability (WVP) and the low mechanical properties of starch films have limited the application of starch based polymer as a packaging material. The composition of starch with fatty acids, and development of the cross-links by irradiation are good approaches to reduce the hydrophilicity and WVP of starch based polymers. In this study, the starch-oleic acid composites were modified by UV ray and developed by solution casting. Then physical, chemical, and packaging properties of the composites were investigated. Regard to the results, water contact angle was increased and WVP of the specimens was decreased by oleic acid composition. But no change was observed by UV exposer of the starch-oleic acid solution. However, the tensile strength, elasticity and tensile energy to break were reduced by oleic acid emulsion in the matrix of biopolymer. But, the elasticity of the film specimens was increased, simultaneously. It can be concluded, the virgin starch-oleic acid composition was the best modification method to decreasing the sensibility of starch to moisture as a packaging material.
